Q: What is the shelf life of the refillable gels?

A: Our refillable NRG Gel pouches can have a shelf life of up to 18 months months or more when purchased directly from Kendal Mint Co®.

The best before date can be found printed on the pouch. Once opened, store according to the pack instructions and consume within the recommended period shown on the packaging, within 30 days, longer if refrigerated.

Q: Are KMC Energy Gels easy to swallow?

A: Our gels are carefully designed for light and easy texture. No tough, thick and sticky mess - they're more like a drink!

Q: When should I take an Energy Gel? Energy gel dosage

A: We recommend you consume one gel every 30 minutes, before and during exercise to #Recharge. Suitable for all Sports.

Always think ahead and stay on top of your energy levels, eat pro-actively not re-actively, to avoid hitting the wall.

  • Eat well before you start exercising and take your first gel within 30-60 minutes into your activity, take one gel every 30 minutes thereafter.
  • Our energy gels are much less viscous than most and isotonic, but we would still recommend having some water.
  • It's a good idea to mix it up with some GEL+ Caffeine energy gels. Caffeine is scientifically proven to boost your physical endurance. (...but don't exceed the recommended GDA).

Q: Why do some energy gels hurt my stomach?

A: Your digestive system is at it's most vulnerable during exercise and your gut needs water to digest carbohydrates. For as long as energy gels stomach issues have been around, so have some of their rather unpleasant side effects associated with certain gels.

Q: Do KMC Energy Gels contain Caffeine?

A: Not all of our energy gels contain caffeine. If you want to #Supercharge your performance with a 100mg caffeine hit look for "GEL+". The're also named "Caffeine Energy Gel".
